In this day and age of multi-storied complexes, bee-hive apartments, and cookie-cutter row-houses it is not uncommon to spend millions to have ones’ dream house. But, what makes a house a home?? Today, more than ever, we want our home interiors to reflect the personalities of the individuals that make that house a home. Its our choice of the little things that give each home its own distinct personality.
In this day and age of multi-storied complexes, bee-hive apartments, and cookie-But the majority of the lifestyle products available in the market today are either imported from South East Asia or are overly intricate, traditional products which are not of a very high quality.
Our research told us that there is a need for Home Décor products that:
- Are stylish, modern and are creatively designed
- Offer choice in terms of variety
- Are of the highest quality comparable to many of the products imported from other parts of the world, and
- At the same time have some Indian element in them
Ekibeki weaves traditional Indian art forms in a web of modern design, giving our products a look that is not only contemporary but is also unique. The aim is to design and create products which have a touch of India about them but are modern and fit into the contemporary decor schemes of today.
While we are focused on getting the best products to our customers, we must admit we have another agenda. We want to do all this in a way such that it has a positive impact on the socio-economic environment we live in.
We have created a model where it is possible to employ the skills of traditional Indian Artisans to create products for the modern home. The aim is also to save some of these dying Indian Arts by giving the artisans skills and opportunities to make their art more relevant and contemporary.We promise a very different experience and a whole lot more.
